Tracking progress is the key to crushing your fitness goals, and lucky for us, one of the most powerful tracking tools is already in our pockets—our smartphones. These little devices are packed with high-tech fitness trackers that talk to each other, syncing everything from daily steps to heart rate and calories burned. The Virtuagym app, used by Better Bodies, takes this to the next level by bringing all those metrics together in one place. Whether you're on Apple or Android, your fitness data—including InBody results—can sync seamlessly, helping you track your progress smarter and set even better goals.

Trying to sync up your fitness data with Virtuagym? No problem. Here’s how to link Apple Health and Health Connect so your steps, workouts, and more get tracked seamlessly.

Connecting Apple Health (For iOS users)

Follow these steps to connect Apple Health to Virtuagym (or the Food app):

  1. Open the Virtuagym app and tap "Me" at the bottom right.

  2. Hit the Settings icon at the top right.

  3. Select Devices & Connections (Fitness app) or Connections (Food app).

  4. Go to the Connections tab and tap Connect.

  5. When prompted, go to the Apple Health App and either tap "Turn On All" or manually select which data you want to share.

Connecting Health Connect (For Android users)

Same deal, different system. Here’s how to connect Health Connect with Virtuagym:

  1. Open the Virtuagym app and tap "Me" at the bottom right.

  2. Hit the Settings icon at the top right.

  3. Select Devices & Connections.

Find the Connections tab and tap Connect to Health Connect.

  4. To check if it's working:

    • Open Health Connect via the Play Store

    • Go to "Allowed Access" > "Virtuagym"

    • Tap the icon to see what’s being synced.

Using Third-Party Apps (Strava, etc.)

Want to connect Strava or another fitness app?

  • First, connect Strava to Apple Health or Health Connect.

  • The data will then sync automatically with Virtuagym when you perform a sync.

What Data Can Be Synced?

For iOS (Apple Health)

Virtuagym does not send data to Apple Health, but it can pull the following:

Steps – Your iPhone tracks steps all day, and Virtuagym pulls that data into your activity calendar.✅ Walking & Running Distance – Virtuagym logs this along with calorie estimates.✅ Workouts – Any workouts recorded by other apps (type, duration, calories burned, etc.) will sync.✅ Heart Rate – If you use an Apple Watch or another compatible device, Virtuagym can track heart rate data to estimate workout intensity.

For Android (Health Connect)

Virtuagym can pull:

Walking, Running, Cycling, Swimming (and more)✅ Steps, Duration, Distance, Speed, Calories Burned, Heart Rate

Virtuagym cannot send data to Health Connect. This means your other fitness apps need to send their data to Health Connect first for Virtuagym to read it.

Final Thoughts: Smarter Tracking, Stronger Results

Progress isn’t just about putting in the work—it’s about tracking the right things and adjusting as you go. With tools like Virtuagym, you don’t have to guess if you’re improving—your numbers will tell you. Whether it’s steps, strength gains, or body composition changes, everything can be linked, logged, and leveled up. So why not use the tech at your fingertips? Connect your apps, track your progress, and keep pushing toward your goals with confidence. 💪 Strength and Courage Ben Grojean
